You will need the freeware app Plugin Commander, to recompile the FFL you'll find in each Zip into usable 8bf filters for you image editor. Plugin Commander can be found at http://thepluginsite.com/.
From my main plugins page at: plugins.htm
Tip: (taken from a post by Paul Wolfe on the Filter Factory Message Exchange, thanks Paul!) Once PaintShop Pro is installed start the program. Then you must load a picture into it or open a new file. Then go to FILE PREFERENCES GENERAL PROGRAM PREFERENCES. A requester will open up. Select the tab called PLUGIN FILTERS. There are 2 areas that you can type in called (FOLDER INI Section). You must type in the exact path of where your filters are located. Then press OK. After that go to the IMAGE menu and at the very bottom you should have a directory or name called Plug-in Filters. That's where the filters should be. I have found that some of the filters supplied with Adobe Photoshop do not appear in here and some do. Most of the filters that have been written by people on the Filter Factory board will work and show in this directory. You will only be able to get one Gallery at a time. The only way around this is to rename the filters and put them in one directory. You can do the above routine as much as you like to switch and use the different Galleries. You do not have to close the program and re-open it for the filter change to take effect. In version 4.x for Win 95, you can have sub-directories under your main one, and PSP will read thru them for loading the filters.
Tip 2: Go Here http://glorianon.prohosting.com/psp/psp15.html to the Paint Shop Pro Tutorial Filters and Plugins Page for more help if they don't work.
Note: If you can't seem to get the Filter Factory Gallery plug-ins working with PSP, you may need the MSVCRT10.DLL file. and Download a copy from my main plugins page if you don't have it. It's 92k in size Zipped. There are no guarantees this will cure your problem, but it has been shown to allow the plugins to work in some cases. You must be running Windows 95 and have the latest version of PSP for Windows 95 for this to work. Any other combinations have been untried. Unzip and Copy the file to Paint Shop Pro directory. Normally, it's not needed in both, it's just to be sure.
