Custom Made and Freeware Plugins

If you have developed personal plug-ins using Filter Factory, or ones made using other programming languages and would like to share them with others for downloading, let me know, and I'll post a link to your site. I would like this site to be the central link location for all who custom make plug-ins for Photoshop and Photoshop compatible plugins/filters. If you download any home made filters from these sites, be sure to thank the author and let them know how you liked them - I know they'd appreciate it. It's through their generosity and love of Photoshop and other graphics apps they use that they wish to show off their handy work.

The Plugin Commander (or PiCo) - A must have utility !

Plugin Commander from Harry the Raver, helps you manage your plugins.  You can compile them for use in Adobe Premier or Photoshop, old and newer FF formats (56k and 48k), store them in a special FFL code to save space on your hard drive, view sample FX before compiling into an 8bf format for use in Photoshop and other apps.  This is a continually  evolving program, and worth keeping track of.  I will be using this program to create the FFL files of Filter Factory Filters I have here, so you will need this program.

The Plugin Manager - A must have utility !

Freeware version 1.0 of Plugin Manager, and also check out the Greatly enhanced shareware version of Plugin Manager ...Both a must have utility to organize Filter Factory Filters!

Photography Style Plugins

Opanda PhotoFilter is a freeware of opandasoft. It includes more 100 types filters in it, they are all kind of color photo filter about Kodak / Cokin / Hoya. It's easy to use, load a picture in the soft and select a kind of color filter, just click the "Apply" button, the result will be shown with the filter on! Opanda PhotoFilter offers adjustable density and auto luminosity compensation, these function will give you more natural looking and pleasant result.

OptikVerve labs has virtualPhotographer, a Photoshop compatible plugin which "is designed to allow photographers familiar with traditional camera usage and terminology to easily create photographically rich and artistic results from their digital images."  Download the free plugin (PC Only.)

Extensis PhotoText Solo - a freebie to add more text control from within Photoshop

Image Matching

Metrix from PhotoSynthesis take two identical scenes and matches their color, contrast and brightness between them.  This plugin is good for matching up a series of panoramic shots prior to stitching them together.  Works best on stereo image pairs.

SnowScape plugin - Creates cool looking snow FX in your image.
Grid Maker Plugin - if you're looking how to make those tightly spaced grid lines, this is the plugin that will do it.  Does horizontal and vertical lines.

MaxPhoto from Sergey Zimin is a clever add-on that turns all PhotoShop's tool-windows (Tools, Layers, Navigator, Channels ...) into "Auto-Hide" state.  As you  move the mouse's pointer to the right/left side of screen (where they are hidden) they appear automatically, then move off the screen when not in use, giving you a full screen to work in.
Image Grabber plugin from Random Eye Technologies is free and is available to anyone who would like to search the Internet for stock images.

Imagedrome has a free Bevel Plugin called Imazine the Tools-Bevel SE, part of a suite of plugins available from them.  Looks great.
Button Maker Duo for making square and round buttons from Roberto Puon. Makes Round and square buttons.

Filter Farm has a free filter for downloading. Well, it's not a filter, as the author says "...it is an environment where filters live their own life. They grow from genetic information. They exchange this information to guarantee rich diversity in future generations.  The user influences the evolution process by giving his judgment to the result of each development before giving the signal for the next generation to emerge."

Ilyich, better known as Toad, has put up his Toadies Filters for free download.  He has some Mac versions also.  Check 'em out!

Jon Anderson has designed a Photoshop plugin called ImportEPS, that is an Import/Acquire plugin which will enable a Photoshop user to import any PostScript level 1, 2 or EPS file. Visit his site to download the demo.

Filter Factory Workshop Presented by Tatsuya Sasaki. These Filter Factory filters are not compiled into the *.8bf files, but are the raw text code that you can cut and paste into Filter Factory and compile them yourself. These are worth checking out.
