The first day in Yellowstone was fraught with over cast skies, some sprinkles and foggy weather. When the all this didn't let up, I decided to head south and see the Grand Teton. After about 30 miles, I finally burst through the wet weather into perfect weather.
These two photos are what the burned out areas of Yellowstone pretty much look like. Some grassy vegetation, with short pine seedlings scattered about.
There still are some areas that are largely untouched nor burnt.
