The night skies were spectacular. With only one photo opportunity, I was up around 2am admiring the night skies. It was unbelievable being able to see the Milky Way in all its brilliance. To capture these images, I used Fujicolor 1600 color print film, and set my camera for exposures in increments of 5 seconds up to one minute in length. I used a Nikon 18-35mm wide angle zoom lens. The top photo is a good one of the Milky Way, and the bottom photo has the Big Dipper in it. The reason the 'blackness' of space is different, is because I adjusted the black points differently for each, in order to accentuate the stars.
